Tradition and choice are two different thing, the word tradition itself means “something that is given”. And often imposed.
Of course if you want to cherry pick your traditions, I suggest to abandon the one that a lot of Americans keep on carrying that “is freaking out and start insulting people whenever someone says something about the culture that cut your foreskin in the first place”
