Oh sure, I believe that, and hope that there is enough people of all different native American cultures that they should all be preserved.

But what the cultures didn’t get is a chance to develop naturally.

Whilst the people are still alive and traditions and languages have been preserved from extinction, I dare say that if there were a hundred million more speakers of all indigenous American languages, they’d see more evolution than they do now.

It just seems that lots of indigenous cultures are sort of only “preserved”. We have indigenous Sami people in Finland, but aside from like a few very general things, I’m not too well informed of their culture either. And I live in the same country. And it’s not even a huge country.

My point being that I hate this monoculture of fear we have around the world.

I should like to some day see more of your cultures revitalised. And with projects like you mention, I believe it can happen. I even tried taking some language lessons but duolingo didn’t have the pronunciation, no speakers for idk was it Cherokee that I checked perhaps.

But yeah Disney and Marvel get a lot of shit but I love how What If is a platform suited for something just like that.

I also really enjoy realistic portrayals of history like in 1883 and 1923. I dislike when they don’t actually use the language they’re depicting.

Annoying that America is very much off limits as a tourist destination currently, especially for someone with my social media lol. But I’ve got the Internet so that’s fine
