As well as it was wrapped up all things considered, I really wish they had gotten another season or three. The show was just that good. The acting, writing, art style, all top notch. This award is more than well deserved.
I’ll be looking into this graphic novel. Thanks for the post!
I didn’t expect the graphic novel to be able to so accurately capture the voice, tone and humour of the show.
It’s exceptionally good right down to the fine print footnotes on the bottom of several pages.
Definitely read it. Don’t read anything about it. Just read it. It’s very good, but you could very easily get spoiled about a major part of it.
I’ve said it before, but I cannot recommend “Warp Your Own Way” enough. It is extremely well done.
I know. It seriously just felt like a top tier episode out of the series - the ending is such a tear jerker.
Also, the big surprise about, uh…who is… talking to Mariner…is absolutely incredible. Just a complete mind-bender.
While the Star Trek franchise has been nominated for many Hugo Awards over the decades, the last win came all the way back in 1994, for the Star Trek: The Next Generation series finale episode, “All Good Things.”
(it was actually 1995, the episode was aired the year prior)
Well deserved Lower Decks!! There was definitely some good Star Trek over the past 30 years, but I think the fact that LD is the first winner in so long is really telling. In my opinion it really was the best show since TNG. I think the other modern animated series, Prodigy, is not too far behind, shame it didn’t get more love.
I agree about Prodigy. It was a really good show.
Wow, they got the title wrong. It’s “All Good Things…” Secondly they incorrectly stated that Fallour is a HBO series.
