"Trump and Republicans are trying to distract from the pain they're causing—from tariffs raising the prices of goods to stripping away healthcare and food from millions," said Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker.
But honestly, would you rather have a fascist dictator and be able to feed and shelter yourself, or have no food and in a violent domestic war? Just something to consider. When people get hungry that’s when action happens as has been historically shown, but who knows what comes after that.
It’d be great if they were toppled and some form of competent leadership and “normalcy” (when was the last normal period that we’d like to return to even?), but with violence comes further instability, death, imprisonment, etc. Ideally we can do everything non-violently within the system, but that hasn’t really worked so… I don’t know…
You ever been dirt floor poor and hunted more than shopped? If not, stop taking about hungry. There’s people the world over who know the truth of what I’m saying, even if you don’t
Absolutely that’s true all over the world. However in many dictatorships there are also plenty of well-fed people. Not as many as in a free society of course, but just because it’s a dictatorship doesn’t mean every citizen is starving. That’s not me downplaying Trump becoming a dictator btw, that’s still completely fucking crazy and he needs to be stopped.
Who said collaboration, appeasement, and compliance? Only you did. Go re-read what I said. I guess everything in your life is black and white and two things can’t be true at once…
Let’s not start insulting, some things absolutely are right vs wrong, with no gray area. It’s just that facing real wrongs and bad guys is scary. So people rationalize. Its understandable. But giving up is definatly the wrong thing. Giving up is why it took 50 years

Youngster, there is no peace or food in a facist dictatorship, only fear and death. Those who seek to live, fight even though they may lose
lol youngster, no u
“There’s no food in a dictatorship”… You should get offline for a bit and go talk to other people
Garuntee it.

Plenty of well fed people, as long as your one of the special ones.
I don’t know what you’re trying to peddle. But you’re advice to simply take it is wrong and, frankly, cowardly
You do not beat destruction and cruelty by knuckling under.
Appreciate the convo, but I’ve seen too much. Collaboration, appeasement, and compliance are what allows facism.

You are. You want to roll over
That’s what rolling over is.
