The kernel stub stuff is here: https://support.system76.com/articles/kernelstub/ Gentoo has the most info on kernel configuration in most cases. https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Genkernel#Firmware_loading Arch might also help: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/External_GPU
