So I don’t know where you live, but in the US the First Amendment covers pretty firmly that this is allowed. The Sheriff had literally no grounds to arrest him.

While I’m sure that the current dipshits at the top want it to be a crime in and of itself, in most places it will only be a escalation of another crime, like you burning your neighbor’s clothes, but if you burn their flag it’s a higher charge. I know a few places still have the flag burning on the books specifically for that. It’s just like other property destruction charges, where they don’t specifically spell out that you can’t be charged for destroying your own property.

You’re absolutely right, BUT It does not grant freedom from consequences or actions of others based on your written/spoken words, and when the powers that be are only a few steps short of red arm bands…

America stands for freedom But if you think you’re free Try walking into a deli And urinating on the cheese

I am not sure I would even call it a meme.

And if I remember correctly it wasn’t more than one AND was just a re-post of Trump’s tweet. So we are saying he can get jailed for re-posting the presidents own words?

I get your point somewhat, but not in a thousand years would any one expect that posting a Presidents own words is jailtime.

Yeah, we live in New America now. You need to protect yourself online.

This isn’t ok, but yeah, you need to be smart on the internet. That’s the country we live in now.
