Since this piece of misinformation about the monkeys has already caused damage: the monkeys are/were not infected. The truck driver told the authorities this info (which was false)
This literally didn’t happen. You are part of the problem.
I side bet infected lab monkeys every time, just in case. Like playing 0 at the roulette table.

I had a new outbreak next month
so in the end who was lying, the driver or the lab or the article writer?
What is this meme taken from?
Wasn’t there a movie about this, like 20 years ago.
Ask again in 28 days…
Not that. I think it was called Patient Zero? Or Outbreak? Or Epidemic. They were trying to find this monkey that made them quarantine this whole town. And then some kid was friends with the monkey, which added an ET rip aspect. And there’s like some big helicopter chase through the mountains. The kind of movie you watch on basic cable late at night when you’re half asleep.
There are indeed several like that. 12 monkies also, but likewise I do not recall which plot is from which movie:-).
12 Monkeys was actually kind of a good movie.
But that’s not what I would compare this to.
The College: Hey! For one, our infected monkeys aren’t contagious, and TWO, that monkey wasn’t one of the infected ones anyway!
Sheriff: Da fuq y’all got going on over there.
I don’t want to play any more. How do I get out of this?
wat?
There was a truck full of hostile monkeys infected with hepatitis, herpes, and covid that crashed and they all got loose. Happened yesterday or so. Some may still be on the loose.
Except there literally wasn’t. It was fake news.
Unfortunately they were not infected with anything. The local sheriff just made that bit up.
The facility does house infected monkeys, but these had not yet been infected and were being relocated to a different facility
Unfortunately
🙉
these had not yet been infected
RFK’s health department pretty much ensured they all have polio, cholera and COVID-38 by now
is COVID-38 from 13 years in the future or are we just versioning it like web browsers now?
There was an episode where Barney Fife thought he had a chance of being in a Hollywood movie…
Life imitates art, again.
I thought the police shot them all except one?
I’m not really sure, the article I read said 3 were still on the loose, but also said only 1 was on the loose still.
The whole thing is a masterpiece example of people not letting reality get in the way of a good story. Nothing happened but a few local news outlets uncritically repeated one incorrect initial sentence from a cop and the national media went absolutely bonkers with the story before it was fact-checked.
Me in Mississippi:

Again?
I just made my girlfriend watch this movie last weekend
