I’ve seen some talented people suddenly looking for work on LinkedIn - anyone know how bad the damage was?

You wanted to find one of 11 people in the world, so you turned to Lemmy?

Maybe one day that will make sense, but this place just isn’t big enough for this strategy to work.

Typically when there are layoffs, there are still people employed there who know what’s going on.

The number of people is less an issue than the reasoning, and what areas they’re cutting etc.

The smaller nature of Lemmy means people are less likely to write flippant dismissals as part of a rabid pack. Or at least it was.

Weel, after layoffs there were only 244 people left working there. That’s still almost impossible that you will reach any of these people via Lemmy, (66K MAU).

There are plenty of discussions about this on Glassdoor and LinkedIn. I recommend doing your research there.
