They want whites in power so that brown people will suffer. They don’t care if they suffer too so long as brown people suffer more.

I have a house and a pretty sizable retirement account.
I will GLADLY take a lower home value, higher taxes on my retirement, higher taxes in general, so long as the ultra wealthy are also taxed accordingly.
If I’m going through the trouble of self hosting one, it better be open source.
I mean…
It’s been so long since I’ve been to the movies that I didn’t even realize that theatres now have assigned seats.
Your insurance should have a nurse line. If not, your company likely has a employee assistance program (EAP) that might be able triage.
Shit that last line hits hard.
The gloves have come off and I love it.
I meant on threads and x. I know that the PDF is available
If it’s nothing, then there’s no harm in linking to it. Why block it?
By taking this action, the Streisand effect has taken place and now people are actively looking for it.
Edit: clarified my comment
I’m not opposed to a lemmy-based tracker but will admit I’ve never made one before.
I have extensive dev experience and would be willing to learn.
My constraints would be time honestly.
I’ve been saying this for almost a year. Not open AI specifically but any company with a board of directors.
They aren’t considering the shareholder value of their most expensive liability: the CEO.
He (because let’s face it. It’s going to be a he in most cases) is paid millions of dollars with a golden parachute. Literally money that could be given back to shareholders through dividends.
The fact that Boards of Directors aren’t doing this could be evidence that they aren’t looking out for shareholders’ interests
Fwiw they aren’t really asking about the motorcycle. I mean they are but they are washing your mouse movements and how fast you click through the images. It’s okay to get a few images wrong.
Eh…I’m willing to bet that he said that because Mark Robinson is black.
Not because he’s any sort of civil rights activist.
I’ve actually been thinking about playing Fallout again. I don’t even remember half the things you’re talking about.
Ah the memories.
I think the filibuster is a valuable tool that is important for defeating certain bad legislation
What might be bad for you might be good for someone else.
I agree with getting rid of the procedural filibuster. I suspect the reason it exists in the first place is because Senators are getting old and don’t want to actually do it.
So, for good and bad, make them actually stand and deliver. If they feel so strongly that a bill needs to be killed, then let them fucking earn it.
I’ve seen some arbitration agreements stating that you can’t collaborate with other customers who are affected by the same issue, requiring each customer to have a different attorney.
Some companies really want to make it impossible for you to win any significant damages against them.
At that point, they are just telling on themselves.
If they raise the price, then they only get money once. If they sell your data, now they have an income stream.
We need to stop tying healthcare to our jobs. We need universal healthcare to make it easy for people to just go from job to job.
One of the main reasons I stay at my job is because they cover my Botox for migraines
The way I read the tea leaves, the larger union was too divided. The union president spoke at the Republican national convention so make of that what you will.
The speculation was that the individual union sections can now endorse who they want. Now instead of one big announcement, we’re getting announcements that are getting a lot of press coverage because of the national non-endorsement.
Trump probably thought he got a win but now it’s day after day of endorsement for Harris and you know that’s got to be eating at him.
His racism covers a lot of sins.
That’s when I knew we lost. When power hungry moderators felt threatened and, instead of standing in solidarity with its users, caved to corporate demands.
“But we’ll be able to still protest. Every Tuesday.”
Hell are those protests still going on? I highly doubt it.
