My home country (Iceland) has the highest gun ownership in Europe. It’s not much compared to the US, but it’s interesting that we have almost no gun violence. The reason is that we have very strict gun control with thorough background checks, mandatory training and psych evaluations. In addition to that, we have a functioning healthcare system and low income inequality. All these things need to be adressed before the US sees a decrease in gun violence.

He posted this joke himself lol
He tried really hard to be called the “real life Tony Stark” and he was successful until, idk, he fired his publicist? Whoever that was did a hell of a job making this moron look smart
You don’t need to ban tipping. Several countries don’t have a tipping culture and that’s because the waiters are paid adequately for their work. Tipping is seen as a bonus after exceptionally good service.
The US should raise the minimum wage for restaurant workers and not make it the customer’s responsibility to make sure the waiter can pay their rent.
Exactly. Allowing Israel to compete is an endorsement of their atrocities as it lends them legitimacy and a platform to present their country in a positive light.
But I guess taking a stance against genocide isn’t reason enough to lose their biggest sponsor, Moroccan Oil, an Israeli company.
As a big fan of Eurovision, it pains me to boycott the contest this year but I can’t stomach the thought of endorsing mass-murderers.
The EBU banned Russia from competing after their invasion into Ukraine (after a lot of public outcry, I must add), so why can’t they ban Israel as well? If the problem is they “don’t want Eurovision to be political”, well tough luck, it already is and has been from the very start.
The answer, of course, is money.
That is actually a lot closer to the Icelandic one, except the F sounds more like a V and -röst rhymes with bust.
As an Icelander, the pronounciations of the nordic names in Marvel movies crack me up. Especially Bifrost (which they pronounce “bi-frost” instead of 'bif-rost", and Laufey (pronounced very differently, also a decidedly female name).
I went on a 2 week holiday earlier this year and I barely took a single picture lol
That’s definitely the case since I can’t read Chinese lol
That’s super interesting! I barely know any Chinese and probably just assumed the characters were for language instead of numbers.
The public transit system used arabic numbers (maybe as well as the Chinese characters?), so at least that was easy to navigate lol
When I went to China about 5 years ago, all the numbers were Arabic numbers. Not sure if this is a regional thing, or if this is a more recent development.

That’s perfectly fine, I use soap because I eat meat and my gf is vegetarian so I don’t want to leave any grease. Also I find soap just makes it a bit easier to clean.
Dude, you’re not supposed to scrape off the seasoning every time you wash the pan. I reapply a bit of oil maybe once or twice a year. I normally just wash it some soap and water after cooking.
If they’re decreasing their production, it could mean that physical media is ending. If so, that fucking sucks because you can’t own anything anymore
