The decision is probably as much about it being the most generation they have on a non-TSMC process. TSMC is totally maxed out. There’s no capacity left after Apple, Nvidia and AMD. If Nvidia want to start making anything extra it has to be something made elsewhere.

Not with general purpose LLMs. They start off ok, but become much more interested in continuing the text they’ve already translated, rather than looking back to what it is they’re meant to translate. So they drift off course as the translation gets longer.

In a European country or USA/Canada, you’ll need the best part of a million. It’s not just salaries. There’s also employment taxes and other costs to consider.
