Making the same joke for 6 minutes doesn’t count as skewering, I think.
This is SNL, though. A joke worth making once must be worth making ten more times in a row…
I think Biden can take the criticism. Trump can’t.
The “behind closed doors” narrative is getting a bit overplayed, and that’s what this sketch is satirizing. The article misses the point of that, and instead makes it about Biden’s age, which the sketch is not about.
Except that narrative is entirely about his age. It’s all these Democrats saying “Hey, trust us, he sometimes mixes up words but he’s totally on top of things”.
Which could be true. Or, could be a total fabrication made by a party who is in too far to change candidates now.
After Tina Fey left as head writer, SNL has gone the way of the Dodo.
Jon Stewart did it first and better.
