You, as the chosen one, will have to save the world from “the bad guys”. Would you succeed or fail? Or join the dark side? Would you try so hard that you become corrupted by evil?

My answer: I’d fail and the universe is fucked because I’m just a pile of sadness. 😓

    Wage cap.

    Term limits.

Trading ban for elected members of Congress.

Lobbying is strictly monitored and controlled.

Total revamp of judicial and penal system.

    Nix the electoral college.

Cannabis is completely decriminalized and legalized in the same manner as alcohol and tobacco.

We are literally all the chosen one. The Matrix wasn’t there to teach us that Neo was The One. It was to teach us that anyone could be.

The only way to see change in your world is to act on it. Maybe you can’t fix politics, but you can help loved ones. You can plant trees. You can donate your money or time.

Even if there are others out there who have more resources to do more and aren’t doesn’t mean you can’t make yourself feel better by making the small contributions.

And even if you tell yourself that you’re just doing those things to make yourself feel better and they don’t right away, the important thing is your action. That’s all anyone else can see.

Save the world from what? Also, do I get any cool powers with that? I worry that it will be like “ONLY YOU CAN SAVE THE WORLD, but you’re still a normal average human, so good luck with that lmao.”

If i get god like powers, yes I’ll fix shit. If I’m a standard person trying to save the world on my own, def not.

I would be overwhelmed as one would be, placed in my position. Such a heavy burden now to be the One. Born to bear and bring to all the details of our ending, to write it down for all the world to see.

But knowing me, I would forget my pen, shit the bed again.

    Typical.

They’re gonna WISH I was a bad guy

    Maxing CON and CHA/WIS

Becoming an immovable and unstoppable lecture monster, going to every world leader and energy-vampiring my way to the top, when there, destroy all obsolete power structures and lecture the world till they realize they can leave free with no need of chains.

Anyone who tries to stop me will inevitably crumble before my philosophy and either cave in and join me or destroy themselves trying to destroy me

I could probably dig down deep in my soul and find hidden reserves of strength that I did not know existed.

But it’s kind of late already and the weather isn’t so good today, so I’ll probably just binge watch some stuff.

Ha! If well done that could be funny. A show about the chosen one being super lazy, being watched by people who also imagine they could be the One, but the timing is just not good right now.

With great responsibility (hopefully) comes great power, as my auntie Ben used to say. I’d rock it.

As I am right now? Hell no!

But there’d be a question gnawing at the back of my head: “If I am the chosen one, why?!” I’d probably hold on to that question as I try to do what I can to save the world. There must be a reason, right? There must be something that I can do.

Moreover, if it’s known to everyone (or at least to the ones that are powerful enough to make a difference), I’d leverage that fact to have them do something. Like, “Yeah, the Chosen One needs you to be his companion” or some cheesy shit like that. And in that case, I’d probably end up more as someone inspiring (or pushing) others to save the world rather than the actual person saving the world (not that I believe any one person can, tbh).

If I was the “chosen one” then free will is an illusion and no matter what I do, it will save the world. Like, that’s the whole thing that is kinda lame about the whole “chosen one” trope.

That has always driven me crazy. Avatar the last Airbender did a good job of trying to negate that trope but mostly it’s just ridiculous.

The wheel of time did extremely well with that. The pattern (the world’s version of fate) allows people to make choices, but certain people have the circumstances around them adjusted, forcing them on to certain paths.
