Sure he was self sufficient, but it’s not sustainable to produce 100% of everything yourself. In the Smarter Everyday video, almost everything was supplied from another vendor, and there was no mention on where the raw materials came from to make the parts made in the America. If anything, being able to supply the chain mail from China (via India) allowed the production to be resilient to change.
