    I’m not misdirecting anything and my anger is very valid as I grew up in Islam, saw all of it’s evils and managed to escape it. You are free to check my post history. But sure you can invalidate my experience and opinion just because it doesn’t fit your sheltered world model. Have a good day and stop bothering me.

      Grats on escaping Islam, that’s huge!

      This place is a bit crazy, when you read:

      An opinion survey involving 158,000 people in Iran showed that more than 80 percent of respondents reject the Islamic Republic and prefer a democratic government.

      But come to Lemmy and you’d be thinking they’re angels

        Thanks but all credit goes to my mom who realized early on that living under such oppression is not something a self respecting human being should tolerate. Women are often unsung heroes in Islam escape success stories!

        Also to add to your point it feels like we are regressing to the point of reaching the paradox of tolerance. People used to be interested in islam escape stories and cheer on the survivors but now often they are being shamed for “not understanding islam” smh
