He then reiterated his intent to raise taxes on New York’s wealthiest as part of a campaign pledge “to shift the tax burden from overtaxed homeowners in the outer boroughs to more expensive homes in richer and whiter neighborhoods”.
“I don’t think that we should have billionaires because, frankly, it is so much money in a moment of such inequality… "
That’s the same threat he’s made to every state, city and institution. Do exactly what I tell you too or I’ll use the power of the federal government (unrestrained by congress or the courts) to crush you. So, what he’s implicitly saying to any mayor.
So there is literally no point to paying attention to what he’s saying - he’s going to do it regardless.
I swear to God you all are going to sit back and watch Mamdani get crucified. It’s going to be so bad. The fact that we don’t see any pictures of him riding horses without a shirt tell me how unserious people are on the left in regards to playing the game. Y’all waiting to react.
