E.J. Antoni, the chief economist at the conservative Heritage Foundation, whom Trump nominated Monday to lead the federal statistical agency, has repeatedly criticized large revisions to monthly jobs reports under the former commissioner, questioning the legitimacy of the agency’s data over the past year. There is no evidence that the agency has manipulated the data, several former BLS commissioners told The Washington Post.

“Until it is corrected, the BLS should suspend issuing the monthly job reports but keep publishing the more accurate, though less timely, quarterly data,” Antoni said, referring to recent large revisions to monthly jobs data. “Major decision-makers from Wall Street to D.C. rely on these numbers, and a lack of confidence in the data has far-reaching consequences.”

Next up, these quarterly reports seem to have the same trends, so we’ll just do an annual report. Sounds just like how they’re dealing with the inconvenience of other reports, like those of the climate or diseases. Just stop looking at the numbers and things will be fine.

Same tactic as Covid death numbers. Just stop collecting or publishing the data, and no one could say otherwise

He runs the country through “truth” posts that instruct federal workers to hide, destroy, ignore, and deny the truth.

He is a majority owner of “truth.” The audacity… just call it the Ministry of Truth and get it over with.

I just want to know what shape this new thing takes so know what I need to do. I’m tired of waiting for this oaf to perform his coup.

Isn’t the FED waiting for the employment numbers go down before they lower the interest rates?

I’m pretty sure it’s their whole strategy.
