Lou Wilson, a frequent cast member on dropout.tv works for Jimmy Kimmel as his opening act for the live audience. I don’t think dropout is actually a great fit of audience, but it’d be one hell of a swing to get Jimmy on a smaller streaming service like that. I’d love to see it, however unlikely. Ultimately he will probably just end up on Netflix or HBO

YouTube is the Spotify route? I’m not getting it. Are you using “Spotify” to generically mean “audio content”, like people might have said “radio” at some point? Or to mean smaller-scale streaming content or something…?
Sorry, I just woke back up and didn’t get much sleep last night. So may be being dumb.
They just mean independent route rather than solely one of the above listed things. They just used Spotify as an example that some people have taken. I think independent would be a better word for it but I think that’s what they meant.
