Donald Trump said Tuesday that NATO allies should shoot down Russian aircraft encroaching on their airspace, and walked back earlier support for Russia to keep the Ukrainian territory it has won.
“I think Ukraine, with the support of the European Union, is in a position to fight and WIN all of Ukraine back in its original form,” he wrote on social media shortly after meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly.
For months as he tried to coax Russian Vladimir Putin into peace talks, Trump indicated Ukraine needed to be realistic about its long term prospects and military disadvantage, suggesting it would have to give up the land it had already lost in order to end the war.
Can’t stand this fucking prick. It’s bad enough that he’s an immature man-toddler, now he’s making me agree with something he said.
He’s waffled on this back and forth seemingly depending on whether Zelensky or Putin most recently spoke to him. So you won’t have to wait long to disagree with him again.
I took him how long to come to the place the rest of the west was on the Ukraine War 3 years ago. And why? Because Putin made him look dumb and it hurt his ego. That’s the only reason.
Thats just because he is now saying what allies should say and think. He doesnt believe it. But he is saying it.
Who knows. He tends to believe the last person he talked to.
