Two Twitter posts. The original is by Shitheadsteve @shitheadsteve, and it reads “10 year old me preparing to tell my mom at 9pm I need glue and construction paper for my project due tomorrow.” There is an attached picture of Homelander from The Boys exhaling with a fearful expression on his face. The second post is replying to the original post. It’s is by Roy Wood Jr- Ex Jedi O @roywoodjr and it reads “6th grade I forgot the science fair was next day. 10pm in a panic, I find a loaf of molded bread my pops forgot to throw out. Made a study on mold, moisture & air. Got 2nd place in the school. 5th in the city. Bread so moldy I was praised for “conducting weeks of research”.

TIL that’s not captain america
It’s an alternate universe where Captain America became tolerant of Nazis, then became one. And also he can fly and has laser eyes.
I think Soldier Boy is Cap, Homelander is capitalist American (whom the Nazis took a lot of inspiration from) Superman. In any case the satire is well and truly lost on the people it’s aimed at.
He also shot someone’s dick off with the said laser eyes while laughing.
Superman would have rescued the passengers one by one if that’s what was necessary. Just sayin’
supes can just rewind time as many times as he needs to get 'em all
That’s america’s dick not america’s ass
almost same thing, really
also a character with high morals that would do anything to save the population. Truly a role model, you should watch it.
Ahahah! You gotta watch The Boys now
Throw out moldy bread? In this economy?
Especially with health care costs, can’t throw away penicillin
Wait a fucking minute
We didn’t need to do those stupid projects, GPA doesn’t matter until high school and no one learns one goddamn thing from doing them
OUR INNOCENT PAST SELVES WERE TRICKED
need, no, but it does fairly clearly identify which kids have their parents do their work for them
This deception goes deeper than I thought
this government goes deeper than you’d think. did you know if goes all the way up to the president?
Then there’s us kids who knew it was dangerous to ask our parents for crafting supplies even for a homework assignment… heck it was dangerous to be visible at home, let alone express a need.
That’s some life-success level blagging
I didn’t even have the moldy bread. I just made my entire project up off the top of my head the night before. It was some rubbish about running different batteries down on light bulbs and tracking their life spans.
That what internet is for. Show me I’m not alone in this harsh world
That’s why the new generation is week. In our youth there was no internet tk “make a study” at 10 pm. Mom and dad would have to improvise a vulcano until 3pm dor it to be dry in the morning. And all we had were our own parents fact to go on lol
edit: it’s a joke. It’s great parents have the internet today
Where I grew up we didn’t even have science fairs. We just had to learn things and pass tests.
Should have been hung and quartered for scientific malfeasance
