Did we? We arrested state legislators for demanding to be let into Delaney Hall detention center and nothing really happened about that. AFAIK ICE has been a constant but relatively low profile fixture in places like Newark and Paterson since this whole thing started.
They’re not just limited to Newark and Paterson, unfortunately. They kidnapped a family of legal residents in Trenton the night of Christmas Eve. They were in Princeton a couple of weeks ago; they’re all over. Of course they waited until after the gubernatorial election to pull this shit though. Even without all the kidnappings their guy still got trounced in the election. So far our politicians are just complaining about it and not doing anything concrete to stop it.
