If it looks like a cop, drives a car like a cop and knows how to talk like a cop to get into a Minnesota house “guarded” by cops then it is not “an impersonator” it is a cop

Is it too late/soon to blame radical leftists?

The “no kings” event in northeast Minnesota was canceled, and Minnesota state police asked people to stay away from public demonstrations while a suspect is on the loose.

hahahaha no, the protests are precisely about this kind of violence being normalized, which the police as an institution and societal class can only benefit from, but not us.

while a suspect is on the loose.

Personally I would not want to go to the leftist protest when a dude assassinating politicians is being hunted by the cops. If they’re killing Democrats, killing protestors probably is not even a leap in their mind.

If not wanting to be gunned down in public by some brain poisoned spree shooter that’s targeting Democrats makes me a fake leftist or whatever I’ll take it.

You sound like a coward to me, which is fine, but do no try to convince others to be equally cowardly.

No, fill the streets up with joy, the police will never be any help with bringing justice to the source of these crimes anyways whoever the shooter turns up to be.

When stochastic terrorism happens, yes I think it is important to catch the perpetrator and bring them to justice, but I will not be seduced into thinking the terrorist was unique or sourcing the power and permission for that act of terror solely from a twisted interior. No, this is the act of “sacrifice” rightwing people have been calling for… openly for awhile now and as such I will interpret it that way.

How did law enforcement know to go to Melissa Hortman’s home?

Bruley said his department assisted the Champlin Police Department, and an “intuitive sergeant” decided to check on Rep. Melissa Hortman’s home in Brooklyn Park to be proactive.

They just knew to go to the house of some politician on “intuition?” Seems a little sus IMO.

How is this not bigger news?

Because, like everything, what’s important only depends on which news network you watch.

One possible motive is that the Minnesota legislature had a one-seat majority for the Democrats. Shooting two Democratic representatives might have been an attempt to change the math.

Terrorism, I would expect. Let’s see if a suspect is apprehended and charged under Minnesota law as such, since they have a terrorism law on the books.

Well, yeah, but what is the motive for the terrorism, I mean.

Terrorism is violence with a political goal. So what is the political goal of this?

To discourage anyone slightly left of bat-guano insane evangelical right from running or legislating against bat-guano insane evangelical right agendas, I would imagine, but I can be wrong.
