The Democratic National Committee and more than three dozen groups are planning events across 20 states on Saturday, according to details first shared with NBC News.

Dozens of liberal groups unveiled plans Tuesday to hold around 50 events across 20 states to protest Republican redistricting efforts in Texas backed by President Donald Trump.

The demonstrations scheduled for Saturday — branded as “Fight the Trump Takeover” — are being organized by more than three dozen groups, including the Democratic National Committee, according to plans shared first with NBC News.

“Trump knows the only way he can hold the majority after his budget betrayal is by changing the rules in the middle of the game to avoid accountability for ripping health care and food away from millions of Americans,” said DNC Chair Ken Martin in a statement, referring to Trump’s sweeping domestic policy bill that he signed into law last month.

When you’re talking about 435 congress critters, the difference between 5 and 13 is negligible. :)

Plus, that list combines former members, candidates, and the House and Senate.

    Jamaal Bowman - Former Congressman
    Cori Bush - Former Congresswoman
    Greg Casar - TX35
    Pramila Jayapal - WA7
    Summer Lee - PA12
    AOC - NY14
    Ilhan Omar - MN5
    Mark Pocan - WI2
    Ayanna Pressley - MA7
    Delia Ramirez - IL3
    Bernie Sanders - Senator VT
    Rashida Tlaib - MI12
    Nydia Velaquez - NY7

    5/435 = 1.15% vs.
    10/435 = 2.3%

No real statistical difference there. :)

      Bub…

You think every person not taking AIPAC money is on that list?

Even if it was, 3x is a pretty big difference.

But hey, if youre cool with people lying to depress Dem turnout, well, I’m disappointed

My understanding is it’s a list of people who made the pledge…

They don’t research all 400+ members of Congress and compile a list

Going on that list takes an explicit action, the pledge.

It seems likely there would be a few who don’t take the money, but also don’t take the pledge.

You telling me you think every politician has a spine?
