Authorities have not named the suspect, but Jackson Township police are working with prosecutors to determine charges.

Attempted murder comes to mind.

If this had been a right-wing politician’s rally instead, every conservative in the country would be calling for all members of the Democratic Party to be hanged for this heinous crime, regardless of the identity or motive of the perpetrator.

TBF, the Pedo Party has been advocating for running over peaceful protesters for quite some time now. Well, as long as they are liberals.

    https://www.cantonrep.com/story/news/crime/2025/10/20/jackson-township-police-seek-video-after-no-kings-protester-struck/86800921007/

There’s more details here, and a statement from the driver. The 77 year old driver claims he doesn’t recall hitting anyone, he’s not against the protest, and that the police waived him on.

“I didn’t even see those people. I was just, you know, driving home and that was it,” he said. “I hope I didn’t hurt anybody bad or anything like that.”

The pedestrian that got hit wasn’t in the road they were off to the side. Even if we believe this guy just made an oopsie, and it wasn’t intentional, it’s clear this man is a danger behind the wheel. Also, this source is behind a paywall. Edit, went into the pages source code to pull the text of the article.

A 77-year-old motorist who struck a protester at a No Kings rally and then left the scene says he has no recollection of the crash.“I don’t even remember it happening,” he told the Canton Repository in a telephone interview on Oct. 20. “It wasn’t anything like on purpose.”

At the very least, that guy should have his license removed or be forced to have a behind the wheel examination.

In all fairness, we don’t know the diver’s political ideology, and based on another source, it could be a case of an old person that doesn’t have the needed faculties to drive safely.

I mean, he’s pushing 80. My parents are that old, and driving with them is scary.

If you’ve never had to convince an elderly family member to give up their keys then I envy you. It’s not actually legal to just take them from them, and officials are often slow to act before anyone has been hurt. Looking at all the signs and movement at a protest is the exact time I’d expect an elderly person who shouldn’t be driving to drift into the crowd due to target fixation. It’s also why I don’t stand near open roads at a protest, way more than the fear of a vehicle attack.

Maybe he’s a lying son of a bitch, but I’d bet there’s at least equal chances he’s just old. Almost 80 is too old to be driving for most people.

…assault with a deadly weapon, domestic terrorism to name a few more. Hopefully it means they are going to throw the book at this guy while obviously charging him with attempted murder. The DA just needs a minute to figure out how to kick him in the balls. *speculation
