Sen. Dave McCormick (R-PA) walked back remarks Sunday he made to CNN’s Manu Raju in which he said Democratic lawmakers were acting like “a terrorist,” suggesting he misspoke when using the highly-charged term.

“Why not work with Democrats right now, try to cut a deal and reopen the government?” Raju asked McCormick.

McCormick bluntly responded by saying that the “main reason” he and his Republican colleagues couldn’t negotiate with Democratic lawmakers was because “you can’t negotiate with a terrorist.”

While I don’t really expect things to get dramatically better, I do know there’s going to be a massive shift in the “weather” with Trump’s sinking popularity and/or advanced age and looming demise, and when that happens, it will be like every MAGA nutcase disappeared overnight, and you won’t be able to find a single person who supported any of it, like by magic.

Except for every single Republican who has just been riding the Trump-Train to Fascistville and have the most rotten, brain-dead, malicious statements on record and will have to dance and jig their way out of the history books now that daddy isn’t around to protect them.

Theyre also doing it for the good of the people, rather than… (checks notes) preventing the most milquetoast centrist motherfucker of all time from being on the Supreme Court

It’s amazing the lengths the Republicans will go to just to make it harder for poor people to get healthcare.

I think you could win a lot of elections in the US right now with the campaign strategy of just repeating this into a microphone over and over again.

Except that you’d have to survive the DNC/establishment Democrats’ attempts to sabotage your entire campaign.

One of the problems is some poor people (eg: many whites) would rather die than other poor people (eg: black folks) get anything at all.

Maybe, maybe not; Republicans have already made it next to impossible for the poor to vote, and have done a bang up job at distracting everyone else from paying any attention to the poor and needy.

This guy’s been on the job less than a year and he’s already a full-blown moron. Probably a big supporter of Jan 6th, too. Trump supports terrorism and let many criminals out of jail. Who’s the real terrorist and terrorist sympathizer?

Honestly I could probably make an argument that just about every American politician currently has voted “yes” to some foreign act or policy that I could reasonably describe as terrorism at this point.

But I don’t think this moron and I would see eye to eye on this and I do not think this is what he was talking about.

I remember 911 when al kiada was trying to get universal healthcare for the american people. despicable. or uh. maybe it was due to religion or things like what we are currently doing in venezuela. so hard to tell.
