Python sucks.
Not only is it extremely inefficient, it is also a pain in the ass to work with if you have to use APIs that heavily rely on dynamic type wrapping and don’t provide stubs. Static analysis via Pylance is not possible then and you’re basically poking around in the dark, increasing the difficulty enourmously to get to know such an API. Even worse if there isn’t even a halfway decent documentation.
Both employer related:
- no biometrics

People on Lemmy aren’t “normal” people and shouldn’t use their personal views as the norm.
There shouldn’t be borders.
Being vegan is a moral base line.
People without empathy shouldn’t have the right to lead people (politics, work, …).

The Welsh did that (or just some Welsh councils?), pretty sure it was very popular among the people actually living in the area.
I’d even be willing to let someone have their lake/hunting cabin/whatever and not tax too much but people are greedy and we’re far past that point. Once you start accumulating 5-10 homes, taking them off the market for other buyers, the taxes should increase exponentially.

Generally agree, AI sucks and yet I find myself having to use it anyway. Its good at doing bullshit tasks that management set that are a complete waste of my time. Life would be better if I didn’t have to do these tasks but I can delegate it to a stupid AI instead and management seem to be happy with its meaningless output.

Nope. Sorry but you’re just wrong. “Han shot first” implies Greedo shot second. And he most certainly did not. Han shot, Greedo died. Green fucker with finger suckers didn’t even get a shot off.
To even have Greedo shoot reflexively as he dies fundamentally changes Han from cold blooded to standing his ground. To have Greedo miss a 3ft shot so Han can justify a response is just laughably bad. Han’s redemption (returning any the end to save the day) is cheapened by the fact that he’s not the cold blooded, do anything to survive, scum of Moss Eisley as he was in the original theatrical release.

My country has 300 ethnics groups, so they tend to match character ethnic to its voice actor. But if it’s not, no one gets angry. People is simply happy when various culture is celerated.
Though, when it comes to international movie/series/games, it truly does not matter as there’s no way to 100% match voice actor race or ethnic groups. Sometimes, people that outside the groups actually do a better match for a specific character.
I disagree vehemently with one of these and I thought it might make a fun little mystery, but on second thought I’ll just state up front it’s the Monty Python one.

The movies are so overhyped and overrated at this point. But Monty Python’s Flying Circus is not, it’s fantastic.
