MAGAs are so fucking stupid, it NEVER occurs to them that the Dems can wield these same weapons in return.

The problem is, the Dems seldom do that. SCOTUS gave the president immunity superpowers, and we knew Trump would exploit the shit out of that, yet Biden didn’t bother to take advantage of it, even though they knew that they were allowing an absolute proven Treasonous Criminal Pedophile Rapist to have another shot at the White House. He is literally America’s biggest national security threat, and Biden should have treated as such, but he didn’t. If he had, the MAGAs would have gone nuts, which would have been a good excuse to deal with them. That’s how MAGAs think, Dems have to return it.

Dems don’t have to match the Treason and Corruption of the MAGAs to win, but they can play Hard Ball, which only forces everybody to play strictly by the rules, and includes the Dems playing by the exact same rules. If they can redistrict the only state that will make a difference for them, then the Dems can do the same thing in the 2 or 3 states that WILL make a difference for EVERYONE.

We got line 2k troops in DC right now that could end Trump and the fascists. They just need to wake up and remember their oath to the constitution.

It did, but it wasn’t what most people went in there for, so they didn’t recognize it. It wasn’t about one side or another, it was about the role of remaining neutral in a polarized situation. In the end, we still aren’t sure if the president was Right or Left, but the media was clearly neutral.

Yeah, that movie sucked. The only almost good scene was the “What kind of American are you?” scene, which was entirely undermined by the fact that it ended with the guy choosing to kill the only genuine foreigners in the group instead of any of the Americans, regardless of what “kind” they were ??? Maybe I’m the one that completely missed the point.

Yeah, I remember being underwhelmed with the lack of a coherent plot.

My armchair critique is; It didn’t make any political prescriptions, or communicate any sincere analysis of real life shit. That’s me being insufferable, though.

I think the only message I took away from it was some sort of commentary on war journalists and maybe by extension the people who watch their coverage for conflict voyeurism. The main lady called their purpose showing the world so they can make decisions, but you can tell that’s not really sitting right in her head throughout the movie, and the other two are riding an adrenaline high like it’s all just exciting.

The only reason it would need to be set in America would be that if it was a war in Africa, we’d be even less inclined to see the detachment of the journalists as an issue to examine. There wasn’t even all that much American on American action. The antagonists are either faceless or implied to be clinging to a lost cause on the wrong side.

              The most humanized antagonist... (spoiler).

The most humanized antagonist might be the brief close up on the young female suicide bomber at the start of the movie.

California has an indepenent committee that draws the maps. This action will require a statewide vote to temporarily override that committee’s maps for this purpose. I don’t think the vote would have succeeded before Trump won. Remains to be seen if the vote will succeed now.

It’s amazing how many Americans seem to have wanted the Democrats to stage a coup to keep the Republicans from staging a coup.

Protecting their nation from falling into the hands of Traitors/ Criminals/Pedophiles/ Rapists/ Racists/ Morons isn’t a “coup,” it’s obeying their paths of office to defend America “against all enemies, foreign and domestic.” Those “domestic enemies?” That’s MAGA.

Its not staging a coup, they could implement fair districting or ranked choice voting years ago but it would lead to people being able to support and run on policies that are more socialist then the democrats are allowed by their capitalist owners. See whats happening in NYC now due to ranked choice, that could be across the US but both parties are strongly against it.

Both parties have this issue, its just that for the republicans they decided to embrace the far right instead.

Is this possible? My understanding of US democracy is incomplete, but I thought California alone lacked the influence to unseat a president, even if all their representatives were united.

He’s exaggerating his ability to “END TRUMP’S PRESIDENCY” by mocking Trump’s notorious social media post style. He doesn’t really believe that, but Trump would make those same sorts of extreme predictions.

True but the house is very close right now. California can take more democrat seats from republicans than Texas can take from democrats.

This isn’t about removing the president that takes a simple house majority and a 2/3 senate super majority. California can’t change the senate balance in favor of democrats.

Part of the reason Trump is able to do what he is doing is republican control of the house, senate, and supreme court. So talking even one of those from republicans could make a huge difference.

Assuming the democrats actually act like an opposition party.

Assuming the democrats actually act like an opposition party.

Im betting they’ll take it right up to the finish line and then pretend to fall down so the Republicans claim victory. Liberals far and wide will cheer them on for “trying” and then excuse their failures because “Democrats dont have the power to do anything.”

The Dems are famous for Snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. It’s their primary election identity, just like MAGA’s primary election identity is Election Fraud.

I’m fairly certain the implication here is making it so that there’s enough to impeach him. Since Illinois is looking like they’ll follow suit, it’s not an idle threat. Though who knows as Republican states do the same

IMO it is unwise to make such statements in this day and age… whisper them ok but don’t shout it out.

Same with wanting Obama to run a 3rd time if Trump does…
The other day I saw a video titled “Bernie Sanders calls on students to rise up”.

Not a good thing to put those people in harms way by drawing attention from the wretched eyes.

Don’t get me wrong, I am not calling for silence, do protest, loudly, but it has to come from the people and don’t single out targets for the oppressors to make easy examples of.
