barely better than his GOP colleagues

His GOP colleagues are trying to send anyone who’s Mexican to a prison camp and make it illegal to oppose them.

Schumer is a bunch of dog shit smirking in a suit all hunched over like Igor, but they’re not in the same ballpark in terms of the damage they’re doing.

“Schumer is a bunch of dog shit smirking in a suit all hunched over like Igor” does not sound like a defense.

Schumer is absolutely a problem to the Democratic party, but he’s not MAGA. I’m fairly confident he’d vote to impeach Trump, unlike the Republicans. So he doesn’t support Trump, and he doesn’t support his fascism (although he does support Netanyahu’s genocide, apparently), but he’s also not doing much to resist it either. He’s very much a status quo conservative. Trump is upsetting that status quo, by making it worse. We also want to upset it, but in the opposite direction.

Schumer finds himself stuck in the middle, trying to balance his allegiance to his corporate masters and Netanyahu with Trump’s fascism and the needs of the American people. It’s an awkward position to be in, but he chose it himself, and I don’t feel sorry for him. I feel sorry for the Democratic Party that’s constantly being held back by him.

I mean clearly it’s not lol. The other person is just suffering from Lemmy reading comprehension.

Schumer finds himself stuck in the middle, trying to balance his allegiance to his corporate masters and Netanyahu with Trump’s fascism and the needs of the American people.

You misspelled “trying to conceal his allegience to his corporate masters and Netanyahu and not bothering to put much effort into the ruse.”

I am 100% assuming that last night’s capitulation was engineered by Schumer with a handful of people designated who can afford to take the fall for it. If Schumer ever bothers to explain his feelings about ending the shutdown, I guarantee he will make some general noises but definitely he will not say anything that sounds like he thinks ending the shutdown without ACA funding was a bad thing.

This almost reads as if you are trying to defend Schumer.

He continues to let these atrocities to occur as long as his nest egg is safe.

        I am not

Absolutely 100%. He basically doesn’t give a shit as long as he keeps getting a paycheck. Can we fuckin’ primary this guy? I would donate money to that.
