      i use arch btw

(Fact: i used to think arch users have ascended to the linux heaven:tm:. But after installing (WITHOUT archinstall) and using arch and saying it… what now? NixOS aint cutting it and immutable distros are…well…too immutable.)

You could always fall back to Hannah Montana Linux.

GUIX, openSUSE or Void might take your fancy if the more mainstream distros aren’t quite hitting the spot.

There is a movement to bring back the thorn. It’s actually pretty popular among English reformists. Personally, I’m in favor, but I generally don’t use it outside of certain communities, or when joking or making a point. Using it ‘in the wild’ is normally an attempt at normalizing it’s use. Personally, I’m on board, just not brave enough to be the odd one out. Especially since I’m also in favor of eth, eng, and interrobang (which I do use in the wild.). It’d make my writing too difficult for others to read it I included all of those in a normal post.

      Twink. A kind of biscuit.

Twunk. It was a biscuit but now it’s gone.

Otter. Thing that stole the biscuit.

Side. The biscuit was a side dish.

      J/O. Just Otters.

      Frot. Forgot.

      • Twink - a thin, mostly bodyhairless gay man
      • Twunk - a muscly, mostly bodyhairless gay man
      • Bear - a hairy, thicker gay man
      • Otter - a thinner but still hairy gay man
      • J/O - jerk off
      • Frot - touching two penises together, usually while j/o with each other
      • Top - the person who is topping is the person penetrating
      • Bottom - same but is instead the person being penetrated
      • Verse - likes being both top and bottom
      • Side - I’m less familiar with this one but given the quotes and context I’m assuming this is not a top or a bottom or a verse, but instead is someone less interested in penetration and more interested in body contact and j/o together. *

Side just means no penetration. Usually it means ok with oral, manual and frotting. You can indicate both (vers, side ok) to indicate you don’t mind someone who isn’t into penetration.

He doesn’t mention bears. He says he’s looking for a twink or twunk and is an otter himself. So sounds like he wants a hairless guy who’s either thin or muscly.

I agree with your observations about the hairy or hairless part, but thin or muscular are not the only 2 body types men can have. You can be fat and not muscular, I heard it’s a pretty common body type in America

I thought most of Grindr was more or less that expectation. Hey, you’re hot, and if you think I’m hot too, let’s meet up tonight. Here’s a sample.

      Something like that.

This tracks for how a lot of people use the app, but depending on where you are you can also have some fairly normal (for a dating site) conversations with people as well. I spent a couple months on Grindr despite not being interested in hookups, since it’s a decent way to meet other trans folk in my area. My inbox was mostly dick pics but I also met some amazing people I’m still with several years later!

        You’re totally right.

What I mean is that there are many, many, guys on there that do not even attempt to have a normal conversation. There is no “hey” or “how’s it going?” Just 1-4 unsolicited pics of their junk followed by some creepy message like “show daddy your…”

Women would certainly consider it to be, but the gay community gets to decide their own norms (not laws) and if that behavior is considered acceptable then it flies, otherwise gays can have their own #metoo and fix it.

I think there are a few lesbian alternatives, but you just never hear about them because the public views lesbian hookups as less blasphemous than gay male hookups. Because creepy straight men see lesbian hookups as sexy.

Yes, it would apply equally, but I guess that I should rephrase: It is not that they find it hot that is the creepy part, it’s the fact that it is inherently fetishization of a sexuality that is not meant to involve them. Essentially, it feels kind of disrespectful and creepy for a guy to get off thinking about women who have decided to have sex with other women (I don’t mean decided to be lesbian, bc obvs that isn’t a choice), because he was never even in the demographic they wanted to have sex with, and by getting off to that, you are (at least a little) probobly imagining yourself having sex with them, and they would not even want that with you (at least in this instance). This same principle does apply to women getting off to gay men, it is just as disrespectful and fetishizing. Now, whether you agree with the thought process or not is completely up to you, but I personally find men fetishizing my sex that intentionally does not include them to be unwelcomed and creepy.

I think the thing to focus on is bothering real people. If a guy jacks it to Yuri, who gives a shit, they’re pictures. Same thing for girls and yaoi. Although I dislike it a bit, guys jacking to irl lesbians (like porn) doesn’t hurt anybody either, and vice versa. It’s when we get into that “harassment of real people” territory where you should be shamed. If you’re a guy being creepy to lesbians/queer people online/irl, you are a disgusting human being who is making others uncomfortable. Same for women who do the same to gay/queer people.

Basically, ethically gooning and having “toxic fetishes” is possible. As long as a foot fetishist doesn’t get hot and bothered around people at a waterpark, nor begs for feet pics from randos in their DMs, who the fuck am I to judge? It’s once you can’t control your fetish around unwilling participants that you get the horny bonk.

It’s certainly not “disrespectful” to have sexual fantasies, stop gatekeeping desire you weirdo. It’s not even a fetishization, I find that to be an over complication of what’s really going on when straight men consider lesbian sex to be hot.

The formula is quite simple (from the perspective of a man):

            1. The least sexy thing about sex is my participation in it as the man
            2. The most sexy thing about sex is the woman, regardless of what she’s doing

Therefore when we crunch the numbers and Cary the zero, it becomes clear that there is no upper bound to the amount of women participants in sex but male participants should be capped.

            TLDR we like women
