We found a rock that looks just like a potato (sometimes we’ll put it in a fresh bag just to prank each other) and it lived in the kitchen counter fruit bowl for a while. Then my cat decided it was her best friend for a month and would cuddle it every day. Best Rock.

I buy 4 individual fruits a week. Eat one every morning right after I wake up. Granny Smith before my commute really kicks you on the balls (in a good way)

My issue is the fruit goes bad faster than I can eat it all.

I’ll buy a 3 kilo bag of apples, eat an apple every day, and still be left with 5 rotten apples.

I keep apples in my fridge and they generally stay good way, way, way longer than expected, it’s nuts. I’m talking 6 weeks or more.

Why else do you think they wear the same clothes in every panel?

Even if bulk is a few cents cheaper, this is why I buy loose fruit.

I did buy bulk pears, but after snacking and there’s 5-8 left, I made Chef John’s pear Clafoutis dessert. Leftover fruit is dessert.

It helps to have a garbage disposal of a kid around too

Next time you buy 3kg of apples, you could give away the 5 apples or make apple juice or a dish out of them before they go bad.

Cutting my fruits really helps me eating more.

One whole apple? Nah, that’s too much.

Three apples cut into slices? Count me in!

I have a rule for my kids is that I never say no to fruits and I try to always have fruits in the fruit basket (as long as they eat the whole thing and leave a half eaten fruit somewhere in the house).

My two year old is really enjoying that and can eat two whole apples and some grapes in a row. Sure he will not eat anything at dinner after that but I can’t be mad at him for eating fruits.

Unearthing a half eaten apple somewhere in the house is the worst. Or orange peels! I keep telling my daughter, we live in the country, you’ve lived here your whole life, you know that’s just an invite (with a giant flashing welcome sign) for mice and bugs. Still find them.

I was doing that but now I have 2 young kids and a house that needs renovation.

It’s just impossible to do everything, there is tons of stuff I see everyday that needs to be done but I have to accept that it’s not possible to do everything.

I have a similar one, if I’m hungry enough to walk into the kitchen, I’m hungry enough to eat some fruit. About 1/2 of the time I even do it. If I know there aren’t pastries in a cupboard.

As a child i used to be allergic to a lot of fruits, so i really didn’t like it, and even less, trying new fruits. I never knew what’s gonna happen. All my allergies have really toned down the past 10 years so i’m on a fruit eating binge. I find it hard to believe that not more people eat fruit all the time. Wait, you could just eat grapes but you don’t??

      Dude. You’re missing out.

You can buy grapes, fresh from the store, and then…ya know. Totally pig out on delicious grapes.

I know it sounds like I’m starting off explaining some complex life hack that I never got to…but I’m not.

My way, you get to eat delicious grapes. Your way, you don’t. That’s the life hack. Eat grapes.

And not JUST grapes! Apples. Oranges. Strawberries. Watermelon. Pomegranate. Pears. Kiki. Mango. Raspberrys. Cherries. Grapefruit.

Most people don’t think of Lemons as a fruit, but they TOTALLY are. Actually tomatoes are a fruit too! Doesn’t seem like it, but they are!

Lots of tasty snacks! DUDE! YOU EVER HAVE A PLUM???

Just, not bananas. You can’t eat my hands, and MY HANDS ARE BANANAS!!!

And I’ll add on an actual life hack - you don’t even have to wash the fruit before eating it. Sure, giving it a rinse is probably a good thing to do, but eating unwashed fruit n veg is better than anything else you’d eat instead

Fruit has been one of my indulges during unemployment. I’d never buy a bag of chips for myself but I will eat a bag of oranges (over the course of several days). Grapes are good, too. Strawberries when they’re on sale. Bananas are okay. Blueberries are good. One of the little groceries was selling pints of cherry tomatoes (not a fruit by most standards) for $1. Ate the whole thing that night.

For bananas, when they’re ripe I slice them up and freeze them. Some other fruits are cheaper frozen than fresh, so I buy those frozen to begin with, and mostly eat them with my oatmeal in the morning.
