Maybe it’s a show, a game, food, a song, or even a book, but what’s that thing you love even though you know it’s objectively bad?

Sitting quietly in a room for hours at a time literally doing nothing. I once got curious and just sat in my living room for around 10h straight because I wanted to see what my living room and neighborhood was like at night. Im talking no phone, TV, or anything else just me sitting alone staring off chilling.

Fun fact: I average 3 cars an hour over night in my neighborhood and we aren’t really a busy neighborhood off a couple side streets too. Some of the cars leave then come back a few minutes later. Probably drug dealers or something.

Okay I had to actually switch accounts before replying, ha ha. My absolute favorite guilty pleasure is reading and writing m/m paranormal smut. Absolutely love it. I hoover that shit up.

Family knows I write urban fantasy, so when I started writing m/m smut, I had to get a pen name. They think I stopped writing after two books-- but that’s not accurate since I have three books under the pen name. The middle book is so smutty that I would be horrified for anyone to connect me to it but it is a damn fine piece of writing. Damn fine. So full of absolutely animalistic descriptive sex, it’s frankly amazing I managed to fit a plot in there somewhere.

So, writing and reading smutty books. 😚

I am 100% too old for it, but I absolutely LOVE the preschool level cartoon Franklin and to a slightly lesser extent the 2011( ? ) 3D CG reboot Franklin and Friends. I used to have one of the edutainment games ( the clubhouse one ) and the domino set as a kid and loved them.

Now, at some point if I ever live alone or at least not with family, want to get all of the PC edutainment games, the domino set, and the original books that weren’t based off of an episode of the show. I will someday manifest my inner child’s dream!

    Edit:

And if there ever comes a time where there is an official box set of every episode out there in the original English dub, I would trample kids at the store to get it.

For starters, as a furry, the anthro characters, love their simple designs. I also love how wholesome it is the majority of the time. Also how chill the show is, especially the backgrounds.

I also like, to varying degrees, most of the songs from the films and official CD ( which I own a copy of ). I personally love the song in the beginning of Back To School With Franklin because I think more people should live life by the lyric “sometimes doing nothing can be such a busy thing”.

Typing random numbers into nhentai to see what absolutely depraved shit is out there.

Makes a great drinking game in the right group of people.

Ghost Adventures. I watch an episode before bed like 3 times a week. I used to work in tv production and know it’s not real. But in my experience, more than the other ghost shows, it weaves in some cute tricks along with obvious ones. Something about that mix keeps me just the right amount of entertained but relaxed in a way that helps me fall asleep.

I came across it years ago when it was first airing on TV, a friend of mine was super into Zak (imo he’s an overgrown child but to each their own). Got into it because they are so extra, it def works as a comedy. Then later in life had some roomies and we’d watch it while smoking. Hilarious, have quite a few phrases that live in my head rent free from that show

Never tried watching while smoking! I’m the type that might get scared if I did that lol. Maybe I’ll try it someday, kinda sounds like a blast!

Maybe not objectively bad, but mine is '60s music. Even the super sugary pop crap (well, minus bubblegum). Even though a lot of the lyrics haven’t aged well. I just love it. SiriusXM’s '60s Gold stays on my radio dial!

Also, I love being in the sun. I’m super pale and I’ve had to have a bunch of things removed and biopsied by the dermatologist, so now I load up on sunblock and avoid the sun like a vampire, which makes me sad. I know it’s bad for me but I really do love the sun 💛

you mean other than jorkin it?
Food. Good god. I’ve been right on the line between obese and overweight for most of my life, but there was a brief period like 5ish years ago where I finally dropped like 30 pounds and got myself looking the way I wanted.

Then I started living on my own, and while that’s been really good for me in a lot of ways… oh boy, I went hog wild. I’ve always enjoyed cooking and baking, but not having to worry about hijacking the kitchen (or anyone stealing the fruits of my labor!) meant I was making all kinds of cookies, brownies, babka, breads, bagels, I’ve made croissants from scratch a couple times… eventually I memorized my brownie recipe and I got into the habit of, several times a week, making a “single serve” brownie by just throwing everything into one little oven safe bowl (sorta like these) and then eating the whole damn thing.

Last week I made enough dough for 3 pizzas, so I did one basically normal, and then inspiration struck. For the second one I made a southern-style gravy and used that instead of tomato sauce, and then the last one turned into a dessert pizza. Made a chocolate sauce out of cacao powder, melted butter, sugar, and honey, and then topped it with shredded coconut. Holy fuck, so easy, so tasty, both fresh out the oven and cold out the fridge. Highly recommend. But anyway I ate all 3 pizzas in 2 days.

Surprisingly enough my weight’s actually been trending downward this month. Maybe if I’m lucky it won’t have to be such a guilty pleasure for too much longer lol

edit, I keep forgetting to take pics of the stuff I make or else I’d post about it, but at least I did take this one of the dessert pizzathis one

    A can of Pringle chips

I secretly buy about three or four cans whenever we go grocery shopping. My wife’s unwell so I have to do everything at the grocery store and most times I’m on my own. But in just about every trip I buy the chips and sneak them around the house and eat them myself. I love the stuff and my favorite is BBQ.

Sometimes I feel like some alcoholic sneaking bottles around the house. I have a can in the basement, one in the garage and always one by my desk. I keep track of them all to keep them fresh and renewed.

    I have a problem don’t I? … yeah I know … but I love it.

Lidl sells these breaded camembert. You stick them in the oven until their top lifts, then you eat them with red whortleberry jam. Its basically half a kilo of molten cheese and jam, but it’s great

To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of their women!

Either that, or a nice cup of earl grey tea.
