It’s neurosyphilis-induced dementia, which isn’t surprising for a rapist pedophile who’s gone years without punishment.
Trump could be sitting there with eyes glazed over, drooling and playing with the shit out of his diaper. And the maga idiots will still be like he is the fucking pinnacle of human health. They would be like you are taking it out of context.
I was surprised and pleased to learn today that we had two key democrats.
Yawn. Wake me when it’s JD Vance and Mike Johnson. Not a single republican in the USA gives a shit about what 2 key democrats think.
No Democrat is a key Democrat if they don’t have the balls to do what is necessary
I dunno, one of them sent his personal army to fight trump’s personal army. That seems ballsy.
Like what, exactly?
Doing things in a democracy requires votes, and they didn’t have them.
The American people decided they wanted Trump with a Republican Supreme Court, Republican House, and Republican Senate.
Let’s blame the Dems for everything they do.
Let’s blame Dems for not holding the fascists accountable while they had the chance. Let’s blame Dems for not presenting any kind of vision to voters other than “we’re not him”. Let’s blame Dems for systematically undermining party internal democracy. I could go on and on.
Wait, you needed more than “not him”? Are you a fascist?
Remember when they ran their whole campaign cycle trying not to talk about Trump?
That makes sense if you forget about the last thirty years and also common sense. Nothing happening today is entirely surprising; you can pretend we didn’t see this coming and tell the Dems to step up, but we remember the truth.
Politicians vote, and they also … do other things. Or they don’t. Their actions show their values.
We’re past getting votes. This is fascism in America, sweaty. Kindly step to the side if you want to play by the rules. Make sure to campaign super hard against the machine of fascism!!! You’re so cute.
Huffpo: saying shit with no bearing for years and years now.
At least they didn’t “slam” Trump, he couldn’t withstand that kind of onslaught this week.
Yawn. Wake me when it’s JD Vance and Mike Johnson.
Oh, if they (along with Vought and Miller behind the scenes) can get to where they don’t need him any more, they’d absolutely love to invoke the 25th. The problem for them is, so far they’re still dependent on his cult of personality. They just need to finish consolidating their power. They’re working on that with the military right now and the goal is to have everything cemented before the midterms that would normally take place next November, or before the time trump kicks the bucket, whichever comes first.
Why is it easier for dems to say that trump has dementia than to say the administration is unconstitutionally abusing its power violating their oaths?
They’ve been saying that too. You need to pull yourself out of the internet circle jerk.
They want to place all the blame for the problems in America on the shoulders of this one hapless clown because it spares them from reckoning with the deep systemic problems that led to us having this syphilis petri dish in the highest seat of power of the nation with the most powerful military in human history.
Fucking poetic.
Fact. But do the voters understand it enough to vote for an alternative to mainstream Democrats (that actually know how to fix stuff)? Like, the foundational issues are lack of term / age limits, how campaigns / candidates are funded, and lobbying. You canot fix healthcare, for example, without fixing the system that allowed our current state. Having any discussion before the foundations are fixed is an act of futility.
Are you saying they’re not saying that? Because i’m pretty sure they are.
We won’t hear about it of course, but that should be expected. I guess we’d have to define what you mean by “dems”, but I’m pretty sure we can find more than a couple.
By dems i mean the democrats in power, like the ones in congress.
I’d love to see one person in power saying anything to this effect publicly.
AOC, as one example, says things like that frequently. Searching “democrat says trump administration is unconstitutional” finds plenty of instances of what you say doesn’t happen.
In my kagi search, the most I could find where a Democrat calls the regime unconstitutional is this YouTube video.
Rep. Ro Khanna says Trump administration is “taking actions that are unconstitutional”
Which is great to see. AOC is cool but I haven’t seen her flat out say that anything is unconstitutional yet…although I don’t follow her too closely.
Anyway, we need more than this. We need motions to be filed and movements to form.
I mean, I feel like Democrats saying that Trump’s actions are unconstitutional is so commonplace that it’s not even notable anymore. I think the following quote illustrates that – they don’t even name the Dems because it’s so commonplace:
While several House Democrats slammed Trump’s strike as unconstitutional, Ocasio-Cortez was one of a select few to go a step further and categorize the move as impeachable.
I’d say they need less sound bytes about how trump should be impeached and more actual impeachments.
… Did you miss that they impeached him twice?
You’re moving the goalposts and each time the field goal had already been kicked.
I thought newsom has said this many times.
Chuck Schumer says a ‘lawless’ Trump has caused a constitutional crisis
Hakeem Jeffries Said Trump’s Attack on Iran Was Unconstitutional. What’s He Going to Do About It?
I’m finding things, they just don’t get covered very well, which of course is the point of a complicit media.
Thank you for posting this
They say that shit all the time, omfg the public is so completely uninformed or misinformed rn it pains me. You want to know what they’re saying? They all have social medias ffs.
Thank you. Just when I had started to lose hope in Lemmy. (Maybe that’s the point of the constant railing against Dems here.)
Leaders need to do more than just say things. They need to follow with actions.
I agree so let’s give the DNC at least 4 more senate seats with caucus in the midterms and make an honest effort to remove all 20 GOP up for reelection not matter the cost.
Best I can do is a 1-seat majority where 2 are Republicans in disguise.
He’s 80. His dad died of Alzheimer’s. Odds are in favor of it. While syphilis is on the rise lately, it’s also cured with antibiotics. I think there’s lower odds of the syphilis, granted, until the last year or two, it wasn’t a common test run on anyone, so, maybe.
What’s interesting is China just came out with new nanotech which has effectively reduces the causes of Alzheimer’s in animal models. Meanwhile, Trump has both alienated China and chased many scientists from our country to theirs.
His dad, his grandad, and his sister all died of it. Of COURSE he has it, we’ve been screaming it since the first time this demented rapist was illegally placed in power.
I wonder if Merrick Garland has regrets, for dragging his feet. Not that it matters.
His father lived to 93 and mother to 88 according to a quick search.
Read this. His nephew details his later years. They were not good.
This came out last year as a part of warning everyone not to vote this demented rapist into office for god’s sake. For all the good that did.
Fred recalls his grandfather’s decline beginning in the 1980s, “with some of the similar stories you’ve heard time and time again, that when his limousine would stop, he would just get out of the car and start walking away.”
. . . “He would scream, and I witnessed this, scream at my grandmother for spending too much money,” says Fred, reminding that money was not a concern for his grandfather. The behavior "kept escalating and escalating, to the point where doctors would say to my grandmother, ‘You really shouldn’t be staying in the same bedroom with him at night.’ "
Fred, the son of Donald’s late brother Fred Trump Jr., clarifies that he never saw or heard his grandfather ever become physically violent with his grandmother, but instead, “agitated in his language, and vicious.”
The classic “metal fatigue” level of brain degradation is Biden. A little woo-hoo, spacey now and again, slower, but totally with it other times.
Alzheimer’s, however, is only decline. Spiraling down., with varied momentum, marked by anger, erratic mood swings, and sometimes aggressive outbursts towards loved ones.
I see your point, however my point is that his entire regime (administration) should be removed from power.
Bondi should be disbarred, Miller imprisoned, for starters.
For starters, absolutely.
Because they don’t want fingers pointed at them, just in case they want to do it too.
The US desperately needs a grass-roots movement that lies low and makes do with harm reduction so the ones in power do not see it coming, and then suddenly switches their vote together all at once when they know they have enough numbers for a third party to surpass the other two, and be able to pass constitutional amendments, fix the electoral system, and other changes to start undoing the damage of McCarthyism.
I would also like a pony.
Fun fact, did you know that the word radical means grass roots?
Not specifically grass, just roots. It can be grass roots, but it can also be a square root.
Ahh, thank you for pointing that out
We need someone to do to the Democrats what the Tea Party did to the GOP.
We need a Guillotine Party.
Cynical view: neoliberals are in bed with republicans, gotta follow the money and lobbyists.
A kinder take: The dems definitely have a messaging problem.
Bernie and AOC will tell it to you straight.
Cynical view: neoliberals are in bed with republicans, gotta follow the money and lobbyists.
A kinder take: The dems definitely have a messaging problem.
Realistic view: Neoliberals are almost as corrupt as Republicans, a lot of their owner donors are the same ones who own the Republican party, and that’s most of the reason why they absolutely suck at messaging.
When you’re trying to defeat the fascists who came into power using moneyed interests to abuse a broken system, the moneyed interests who own and benefit from the system is your ACTUAL main source of income and most of the people you’re pretending to appeal to absolutely loathe both billionaires and the system, your messaging is GONNA suck big, floppy donkey dick.
As fraudulent and infantile as the fascist messaging is, it’s still clear and forceful, which makes it much more effective than the empty and vague promises and threats of Neoliberals.
Exactly right, comrade. I wish more Lemmings were fans of George Carlin.
I’m sure we could rustle up a bi-labial fricative around here if we had to.
Because most things that are “unconstitutional”… aren’t. At best they are a grey area that (arguably) clearly goes against the spirit of the document but… the spirit of the document is also that white men are all that matters.
So a claim of “that is unconstitutional” would need a nuanced discussion (and nuance is for Barren Women And The Gays!!!) and would lead to actual lawyers saying “uhm… it technically isn’t?”. And said nuance would lead room for a bad faith interpretation by the SCOTUS to “clarify” things in law.
Cue: “The SCOTUS will not go that far because steven universe taught me the power of friendship and we are totally going to have fair elections in 2028!” idiots.
Whereas “he is both mentally and physically unfit” is something that speaks to both sides. Just look at Kamala’s campaign (which was mostly “Hey guys… I am not Biden”)
Also… republicans are going to push a LOT harder on the illegal shit angle because they can be implicated in that. Whereas this will let them say “We were just following orders” and “I didn’t do anything wrong”
than*
Thanks for the correction, edited.
Because if they said he’s unconstitutionally abusing his power, you’d be asking why they’re not talking about his dementia.
@CubitOom @MuskyMelon Is “ableism” too obvious?
JFC, Science says 50% of people over 65 have some form of cognitive decline. The average age of government is 65.
And does it matter? People blamed Biden for every time he said Umm, but yet Trump did much worse and nobody in the media has even hinted at his dementia.
You know who owns the media, right?
Because they’re afraid. Self regulating. Between the litigation and the FCC Trump has them under control.
It’s because Fox et al are unabashed propaganda machines to attack dems and protect GOP. The rest are still bound to the truth, or in this case burden of proof.
Fox isn’t the biggest propaganda machine. That will be found within Turning Point, now co-opted by Jr and Vance.
You do realize that’s the next ticket? Vance and Trump (Jr).
The major networks are now also part of the propaganda machine.
news nation is this shill positioning itself the way fox did with “balanced” bullshit reporting. So they are trying to say yeah fox is right and most are left but look at this “center” one. I hope no one is buying it.
I don’t get why you guys say stuff like this. I’ve seen dozens of articles that do more than hint at a possibility that Trump has dementia. So have you. I’d be willing to bet that your belief that he has dementia came from one of those articles. Why then are you saying no one has mentioned it?
His dad who was in much better shape was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s at the age Trump is now
His dad didn’t get as much syphilis and tear through mountains of cocaine either. He also wasn’t on camera 24/7 for half a decade.
No, he’s just dumb. He’s always been this way. His whole nepo baby life just revolved around people telling him “yes”
He has always been this way but he’s more this way now. I was always skeptical about the “Trump’s losing it” stories because Trump has always been an idiot and a narcissist who can’t distinguish between his fantasies and reality. But now it’s undeniable that he seems more confused, out of touch and unpredictable.
I’m still not seeing any difference to anything since his escalator ride in 2015. At most, you can tell when he’s not on drugs like that one UN speech.
No. Just look at an interview from, say, 2010. He’s coherent. An idiot, a rapist, sure, but he’s not the babbling demented mess he is now. He’s not just dumb, his neurons are peacing out.
If you don’t see signs of his dementia, then you too need to be checked for it. Yes, he’s not the brightest, but his latest spews have been particularly bad and getting worse.
He can say “man, woman, person, camera, TV.” What more could you possibly want from the person leading the biggest military in the history of the world?
A respectable golf game and a toilet made of solid gold.
“Respectable golf game”? Don’t you know that Dear Orange Asshole once shot a 17? Impossible you say? The ball bounced out of the hole and rolled all the way to the next hole, thereby beating Kim Jong Il’s record of 18 holes in one in a row.
There’s even a book about it.

The other day I happened to watch a video of him speaking for a minute in 2019, and no, it’s night and day compared to now. Sure, even then he had trouble staying on topic, but he had a mental clarity about him that was more recognizable as a speech than a ramble. He’s slurring most of his words nowadays, you didn’t see that back then. 2019 Trump wouldn’t get lost and find himself on the roof of the White House…
Do you not remember him yelling from the balcony of the White House when he had Covid?
Right so he has permanent Covid brain fog, except just caused by an old age illness instead of covid.
Next they’ll discover that rain makes things wet.
godsdammit it was my turn to “well acktually water is not wet”
They have Feinstein on their track record, so it’s small consolation.
If you watch the Schiff updates, a lot of this is squarely on the backs of Republicans, and they’re complacent. Schiff shows a vid of Lindsey Graham, of all people, asking Bondi how many illegal immigrants are in Chicago right now, he pushes the question too. She can’t answer. I was shocked that Graham even asked. It will take men like Graham to be willing to state Trumps infirmity out loud.
But I don’t think they will because they haven’t solidified anything yet, separate from Trump. I think that’s why they’re rolling out national guard and moving faster, Trump looks like he’s dying on his feet.
As an aside, re the national guard. There’s a YouTube channel called The Dangerous Ones. I don’t know how I ended up there, but it certainly seems like the symbol of liberal that is Portland is going to be a center point both now and moving forward. We should all keep an eye on that city. Check out the troll action happening over there. Look at how Portland is protesting. This is something that was not possible in 1935, this wide open media outside of places like CNN and the WaPo. These YT channels and substacks are communication & documentation. The trolling focus of The Dangerous Ones gave me hope.
Is it funny or sad that the decay of America will be from their first dictator, a demented golden rapist?
Predictable. Entirely predictable.
The american way…
Predictable. Entirely predictable.
Only two of them?!
Even if it’s true, do we really want a vance as an alt?
We’ll deal with step 2 after step 1.
Business climate would be better under Vance, at least he won’t throw tariff tantrums and we know what to expect. Companies might actually start hiring again. Trump is so volatile that companies are hesitant to do anything right now, its just low hire, low fire wait it out for the next 3 years.
Edit: I would be surprised if Trump gets removed under the 25th amendment or impeached. The rules state the VP and majority of the cabinet would need to declare him unfit, then President could challenge, then you need a super-majority of two-thirds votes in both houses for it to stand. Very unlikely sequence of events. Unless something drastically changes in the midterm elections, I think its more likely for Trump to stay on as a puppet if he really has dementia or mental decline.
keepin’ the ‘if’ in tariffs!
Technically, that’d be an ‘iff’
Companies won’t really start hiring the way they used to until its easier for them to get loans. This is affected by the fed interest rate and the weakening dollar. But even if the fed rate goes to 0, with the dollar the way it is, loans won’t be easy to get. Maybe vance would be better for that, or maybe it’s beyond who the president is at this point.
It should be noted however that companies are fine with spending their money on stock buybacks and C level raises. So I wouldn’t call them hesitant to spend money.
Exactly. Vance definitely doesn’t have the cult of personality that Trump does. It will create a power vacuum.
Cannot be worse, as Vance can’t rile up the fascist voter base and the whole maga bullshit would lose steam.
Dude can’t even order a donut properly, he won’t motivate a gang of thugs to Jan. 6th anything ever. Charlie Kirk was likely being groomed to replace Trump, in my opinion.
