I want to talk about foods with the bare minimum ingredients where if you would have added more, it would have been a disservice.
Watcha got?
Edit: dude I got so much love on this post for something so simple, this is a solid community. Thanks for showing up guys
That’s whole grain bread too, that shit was good
Excellent choice. Great execution. No notes.
GF was proud, she cooked this bad boi

Grilled cheese.
PB&J.
Tomato soup.
Ooo I do got one on your PB&J too, there’s just one more ingredient that can work, similar to my BLT.
You can add nanners and that is pretty good too.
You can also add avocado to mine, but they better be perfectly ripe, same with the nanners
Fried peanut butter, jelly and 'nanner sammich 🤤
Durt nasty alternative is nanner, honey, pb
One more thing to add to the list, grilled PB&j, exactly like you’d make a grilled cheese but with those instead. It may sound odd, but it’s S tier dessert or midnight food
This thing looks like the best drunk food. I made myself pork slices the other night, marinated in some chili paste a nigerian friend made me… I thought I was going to suffocate cooking this thing. Could not see, could not breathe… had to open all windows, my cat even fled the scene. Anyway, it was minimalist and stupendous. Cooked just right, the juiciness👌🏼
Hell yeah, are you cooking these on like 6-8 on the heat scale?
You can cook most shit on 4-5 and it takes just a little longer to get going, but rarely burns/smokes and it stays more hydrated
No idea… I have a gas stove & oven. Bit primitive,… but yeah I was afraid to dehydrate the meat because pork tends to do that so I went for an aggressive flame heheh. Not much strategy tbh… my high self likes to wing things
Next I want to get a big fish and smoke it
Hell yeah dude, don’t be be afraid to go real low heat, cover it with a pan cover or even just a ceramic plate or whatever, and add a couple tbsp of water every once in awhile to rehydrate whatever you’re cooking. No smoke juicy food, not much thought required, probably the easiest thing that’s elevated how I cook
I love it! Honestly I’m always a fan of a quick grilled cheese too… almost no time to make and the ingredients are always on hand.
Hell yeah dude, you use the mayo on bread for toasting or butter?
Whatever is handy, I’m not overly choosy, both work fine. It’s usually a “what melty cheeses do I have in this here fridge”
Also a fan of the grain heavy breads so solid again on your blt choice there!
Noice. As bad as it is, nasty kraft singles go hard on a grilled cheese. You put two of those on like a slice of havarti, it’s done
I have a kid with who prefers this sort of thing, so I often try to perfect something with the minimum ingredients.
Bread: flour, water, salt, starter Hamburger: beef, salt, charcoal grill Leek pie: flour, butter, water, leeks, gruyère, cream, salt
I recently started making fried chicken by marinating some chicken thighs in salt, sugar, vinegar brine for a day, coating it in literally just cornstarch, and frying it twice.
I will happily eat complicated food, but I think all the above are excellent and are all about quality ingredients and technique.
Excellent. You may be several steps above my cooking level, but I do love reading it
It helps to be old
Singles have their place, they have an emulsifier in em to keep cheese melty when you want to make a sauce. Slapping one of those In a grilled cheese just makes a nice gooeir cheese melt.

yet you have a 3rd piece of bread in the middle of your sandwich. curious!

Hahaha nice. It’s only because there’s 8 pieces of bacon on here and like 4-6 tomatoes, gotta keep the ratio
That looks like a really damn good BLT!
Damn I’m honored, username checks out
